Trauma Risk Management
TRiM (Trauma Risk Management) is a structured, evidence-based peer support model that helps organisations identify and support staff who have been exposed to a traumatic or a potentially traumatic incident at work. Widely used across sectors including emergency services, healthcare, education, and social care, TRiM equips organisations to respond to difficult incidents proactively, rather than leaving staff to cope alone.
Why This Matters
Staff working in demanding, frontline roles will, at some point, be exposed to distressing incidents. Whether that's a serious safeguarding disclosure, a violent incident, or the sudden loss of someone they support. Without a structured process in place, organisations often rely on informal, ad hoc support, which can miss staff who are struggling but don't come forward. TRiM gives organisations a consistent way to check in, assess, and support staff after these incidents, reducing the risk of longer-term impact and helping people stay well at work.
Take a look at a selection of our recent projects, crafted with care and designed to make an impact. Each one tells a story of creativity, collaboration, and results.
Who It's For
TRiM is particularly valuable for organisations where staff regularly face distressing or high-risk situations, including emergency services, social care, healthcare, education, and any organisation supporting people through crisis or trauma.
What it’s not
TRiM is not therapy or counselling. It's an early, structured peer support process designed to identify how someone is coping after an incident, and refer them on to further support such as counselling or an EAP where needed.
