Kendelle Bond (MSC PH, PG DIP RM)
Clinical Director
Kendelle founded NCBC in 2003 and has been working as a Behavioural Psychologist for over 18 years to date. Kendelle originally trained as a Midwife before moving into Behavioural Psychology where she has passionately worked to integrate evidence-based approaches into behaviour change interventions and practice. She has delivered training extensively in this area.
Kendelle specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interviewing as a clinical therapist and has extensive experience working within healthcare, social services, criminal justice, addictions, and is an active member of the Motivational Interviewing International Network of Trainers (MINT).
Suzanne Bardsley (QTS, BA Hons)
Head of Operations & Delivery
Suzanne has over 16 years’ experience as a Lead Trainer with NCBC where she delivers high quality training across a range of evidence-based approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Group Facilitation Skills, Health Coaching and Trauma-Informed Care. Alongside her training work Suzanne is an experienced Clinical Supervisor, she has contributed to research projects and provides assessment and coaching in Motivational Interviewing.
With a background in education, Suzanne has specialised in behaviour change for much of her career, working across a variety of settings and teams. She has also lectured at both the University of Brighton and Hertfordshire. She is currently working closely with a local carers’ organisation supporting the application of behaviour change approaches within mental health; an area she is particularly passionate about.
Suzanne is an active member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
Rowan Hillier
Head of Growth & Development
Rowan has over 10 years’ experience in the charity sector, working at both board and senior leadership level. With expertise in partnerships and operations, Rowan is passionate about developing inclusive, collaborative organisations that deliver meaningful impact.
Trained in Therapeutic Psychology, Rowan brings a creative, human approach to organisational development and leadership. Her work is people-led and research-informed. Rowan has a particular passion for leadership, team culture and making organisations great places to work. Using qualitative methods to understand what’s really going on in organisations and teams, Rowan can help to listen deeply to staff and clients to shape strategy and services that truly resonate.
Rowan also works with a number of small charities and as a mentor supporting parents, preparing to return to work or finding their feet after periods of leave.
Tracey
Office Administrator
After many years working in London’s fast paced events world, Tracey decided to hang up her clipboard and move towards a healthier and happier work-life balance in Sussex where she became Office Administrator for NCBC. She still does what she loves most; organising busy diaries, appointments and training sessions. She has a spreadsheet for just about everything!
Tracey has a passion for organisation, an excellent client focus. She loves working with people and building strong, supportive, professional relationships.
Dr Soracha Cashman (PHD, MSC, MBA, BA PSYCH)
Lead Associate Trainer, Coach & Supervisor (Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience)
Soracha is a cognitive neuropsychologist and behaviour change specialist who works with both individuals and organisations to create sustainable, evidence-based change. Her work brings together neuroscience, organisational psychology, and trauma-informed practice to understand how people think, feel and behave, particularly within complex systems.
Soracha specialises in translating behavioural science into practical, real-world application, helping people, teams and organisations shift mindsets, build capability and culture, and create meaningful, lasting change. She brings particular expertise in leadership development, organisational change, and psychologically informed practice.
Soracha is the founder of Seren Leadership and works as an executive coach, facilitator and senior consultant, designing and delivering coaching, mentoring, and training programmes across sectors.
Nav Nahal BA. (Hons), PG DIP, MSC
Associate Trainer & Psychotherapist
With over 25 years experience, Nav has set up programmes for Local Authorities and non-profit sectors.
Most recently Nav has focused her work in running a successful therapeutic practice where she offers a humanistic, person centred approach. Nav’s client base includes Local Authority, Police, Healthcare, Education and Corporate clients. Nav has a particular interest in training in the areas of bias and the impact that bias creates when creating and maintaining all of our relationships.
John Whitson-Russell
Associate Trainer & Coach
John Whitson-Russell is a UK-based Motivational Interviewing (MI) specialist, executive coach, trainer, supervisor and behaviour change practitioner with more than two decades of experience across health, social care, local and national government, and community settings. A member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT), John has trained and supervised professionals nationally and internationally, helping organisations strengthen communication, leadership, and person-centred practice.
His background spans healthy lifestyles services, executive coaching, counselling, and workforce development, with expertise in behaviour change, practitioner development, management and leadership. John is known for making complex ideas practical, engaging, and highly interactive, blending evidence-based methods with warmth, humour, and real-world experience.
Alongside his training and consultancy work, John has contributed to the development of MI communities, MINT UK and Ireland, and conferences across the UK and internationally. He is passionate about helping people and organisations create meaningful, sustainable change through better conversations.
Mo Lockwood (was Almond) RGN
Associate Trainer & Coach
Mo originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and has over forty years of clinical experience within Public Health, Health Promotion, and Sexual Health. Reducing health inequalities and stigma, as well as improving health outcomes has always been Mo’s focus, particularly in areas of greatest need.
In 2003, Mo became a member of the Motivational Interviewing (MI) Network of Trainers (MINT). Since then she has promoted best practice by delivering MI training and mentoring across a variety of organisations and services including physical, mental and sexual health, social care, criminal justice, education, housing and substance misuse - essentially supporting conversations that empower people to make changes. Alongside MI, Mo is also an experienced Trauma Informed Care and Mindfulness Practitioner/Trainer, which shapes her overall approach.
Mo's lengthy clinical practice has helped her maintain a grounded and realistic perspective on the daily challenges faced by colleagues in helping professions, enabling her to genuinely support them in developing their skills and confidence in MI. Feedback from those she has trained highlights her relatable and non-threatening approach, making her delivery accessible and valued by participants from diverse backgrounds.
Dr Merav Devere (EDD, MSC COUNSELLING PSYCH, BA PSYCH, DIP SUPERVISION, CERT COUNSELLING & GROUPWORK)
Associate Trainer
Merav is a Psychologist who specialises in Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focussed Therapy training and consultancy. She has been running her own business, Joint Diversity, for over 20 years. Dr Devere’s years of experience includes delivering counselling and groupwork in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, designing and implementing groupwork training and courses at different levels. Her other work includes supporting the South India and Africa Aids Action Programme. Dr Devere is a member of MINT, the BACP and The Association of Coaching.
